Taunton’s Homes For Our Troops celebrates milestone at Statehouse



BOSTON — Homes For Our Troops, a national nonprofit based in Taunton, recently celebrated the delivery of its 250th specially adapted home to an injured veteran with a special ceremony at the Massachusetts Statehouse which was sponsored by Taunton Rep. Shaunna O’Connell.

O’Connell was honored to sponsor the ceremony and present HFOT with a resolution from the Statehouse.

Special guests included Gov. Charlie Baker, who presented a proclamation to HFOT, and representatives from the office of Secretary Francisco Urena, Veterans Affairs. State representatives and senators also joined the ceremony.

Homes For Our Troops currently has 95 home builds underway nationwide.
