New England Police Benevolent Association Endorses Shaunna O'Connell
Taunton, MA…Today Representative Shaunna O’Connell (R-Taunton) proudly announced that she has received the endorsement of the New England Police Benevolent Association. “I am extremely proud to receive this endorsement from the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. They humble me with their support,” said O’Connell. “We have lost too many officers in the line of duty this year. We need to protect our law enforcement officers, and I am a supporter of the death penalty for those who kill officers.”
In a letter announcing the endorsement, NEPBA President Martin Conway writes: “The NEPBA has a history of supporting those candidates, from both sides of the aisle, they feel they can trust to have their backs when it comes to law enforcement issues. After hearing from our MA Legislative Committee about your positions on a wide array of issues, the Executive Committee makes this endorsement without reservation.”
“This shows that I am the law and order candidate who makes public safety a priority,” said O’Connell, who has worked to strengthen laws on child predators and who has advocated to remove bad judges. The NEPBA represents close to 4000 Law Enforcement Professionals here in Massachusetts including Police Officers, Correctional Officers and Support personnel from State, County and Municipal units.
